Brief introduction


Surge protector is the lightning protection measures taken by Zhejiang toer Electric Co., Ltd. for the electrical system. It mainly plays the role of protecting the line from lightning protection and overvoltage protection. The circuit protection is made up of a powerful diode solid state discharge tube; basic and fine protection is based on automatic fault protection device technology. In thermal overload, the device moves the two ends of the original lightning protection together, thus causing the damage of the surge.

Product Installation

With 35mm standard DIN-rail mounting, connecting copper stranded conductor is 2.5~35mm²

At front of spd each pole must be setted protection---used fuse or miniature circuit breaker lightning current SPD protection,after SPD breakdown to short circuit protection.

SPD install on protected line(equipment) to the front and connected to the supply line. A class products install in the building home-entry line hold larger surge current total distribution box. B, C class products most install on the floor distribution box, D class products close to the front-end equipment that smaller surge current, smaller residual voltage place.

Working principle of product


During the operation of the equipment, the lightning arrester will play a protective role once the abnormal voltage occurs. When the protected device is running under normal working voltage, the arrester will not work, and it will be regarded as a circuit for the ground. Once the high voltage is present and the insulation of the protected equipment is endangered, the lightning arrester acts immediately and leads the high voltage impact current to the earth, thus limiting the amplitude of the voltage and protecting the insulation of the electrical equipment. When the overvoltage is gone, the arrester is restored to its original state quickly, so that the system can supply electricity normally. The main function of the arrester is to reduce the voltage value of the protected equipment by the action of parallel discharge gap or nonlinear resistance, so as to protect the power equipment.
